 Один из лучших примеров такого ныне подзабытого стиля, как speed metal. В отличие от земляков и собратьев по стилю из Agent Steel (гитарист которых, Хуан Гарсия, поначалу в Abattoir, собственно, и играл), также выпустивших в 1985 году дебютник, музыка ВИА "Скотобойня" не так технична и менее мелодична. Зато заметно влияние Motorhead. Кстати, на альбоме присутствует ускоренная версия хита "Ace of Spades" легендарных англичан.
Добавим, что "Vicious Attack" имел довольно серьезный успех в Старом Свете. Однако всю эту замечательную спид-металическую кашу несколько портит низкое качество записи: сказывается малый бюджет.
Хотя "низкое" - это, пожалуй, слишком, ведь тот же первый альбом Agent Steel, если признаться честно, также записан не ахти как. Тем более, что все огрехи компенсируются нехилой энергетикой музыки калифорнийцев. |
