Третий сборник баллад Акселя Руди Пелла. Со времени прошлого Ballads II прошло всего 5 лет, но за это время Аксель успел записать множество новых баллад, в чем ему очень хорошо помогли Джонни Джиоели со своим прекрасным хриплым голосом и клавишник Ферди Доернберг. Учитывая это, можно без сомнений сказать, что баллады 1999-2004 самые успешные из всех написанных Акселем.
На альбоме всего одна новая вещь, одна акустическая переделка и кавер на Rainbow. Не густо.
"Don't Say Goodbye" - отличная баллада, с запоминающимся текстом... Но чего-то не хватает, чтобы полюбить эту песню.
Акустическая версия "Forever Angel" вообще никакая. Казалось бы, акустическая гитара - более мистический, что ли, инструмент (Что сейчас с ней творит Блэкмор!)... Ан нет, эта песня в таком варианте просто не звучит.
А вот кавер "The Temple Of The King" удался на славу! Теперь это медленная, размеренная и мистическая баллада, которая если и не лучше оргинала, то уж точно не хуже, а если учитывать, что Блэкмор редко исполняет эту песню, можно сказать, что Аксель сделал нам всем настоящий подарок.
К сожалению, откровенно слабая акустическая версия "Forever Angel" и малое количество нового материала не позволяют поставить высший бал. А жаль - все остальное здесь на высшем уровне... |

Когда я слушала последний альбом Акселя Руди Пелля “Ballads III”, мне в голову пришла следующая кулинарная аналогия. Блюдечко варенья – это вкусно. Два блюдечка варенья тоже можно съесть, как говорится, под настроение. Но третье можно употребить только при условии, что являешься фанатом данного варенья и других сладостей не признаешь. То же самое можно сказать и об этой серии баллад. Первый диск был просто отличным и был «проглочен» публикой с удовольствием. Второй – тоже ничего, вполне «съедобный», хотя прежних откровений на нем уже почти не было. Третий же альбом балладной серии пойдет разве что упертым фэнам. Не то, чтобы он совсем плох, это очень качественно сделанная РАБОТА, но, похоже, ВДОХНОВЕНИЕ по время работы над этим альбомом Пелля так и не посетило. Все сделано по правилам: красивые мелодии, акустические соло, тексты из серии «ты у меня одна, словно в году весна», но… все это уже было тысячу и один раз, и слушать тысяча второй почему-то не хочется. Новая песня всего одна (“Don’t Say Goodbye”), есть еще акустическая версия “Forever Angel” и кавер Rainbow «The Temple Of The King”. Остальное – баллады с последних трех студийных дисков Акселя, общей продолжительностью аж 70 минут. Пока диск крутится, тебе все нравится, но как только ты выключаешь проигрыватель, глянцевые мелодии моментально выветриваются из головы. И сдается, мне, что позволь Аксель вмешаться в творческий процесс своему давнему другу и клавишнику Ферди Дорнбергу, результат мог быть намного лучше, уж кто-кто, а Ферди умеет затронуть самые нежные струны человеческих душ. А так – только шесть баллов, исключительно из уважения к заслугам и сединам. (Диск предоставлен компанией Soyuz Music) |
