Пару лет назад этот альбом стал для меня настоящим открытием. Да что скрывать, я и сейчас слушаю его, затаив дыхание. "The Prophecies" относится к тем альбомам, которыми можно наслаждаться в любое время и под любое настроение. В принципе, ничего нового музыкантами здесь изобретено не было: это все тот же старый добрый sympho power metal. Только вот от собратьев по цеху вроде Sonata Arctica или Stratovarius музыка Kenziner отличается кардинально. В чем же секрет? Может, в хрипловатом голосе вокалиста Стефана Фредрика? Или в том, что тексты не «ни о чем», а наполнены именно человеческими чувствами и переживаниями? Наверное, все эти факторы вкупе с виртуозной игрой музыкантов, которая заслуживает отдельного внимания, придают альбому эту яркую индивидуальность, которая производит невероятный эффект. Какие-либо отдельные композиции выделить невозможно: они звучат едино, мощно и мелодично. Выбивается из списка разве что "Trail Of Tears" - просто скучновата, не более. Единственная баллада на альбоме, "Like A Paradise" - вообще одна из лучших в своем жанре. Она производит впечатление вышедшей из-под пера Рудольфа Шенкера и Клауса Майне, то есть в лучших традициях Scorpions. Обидно, что пластинка крайне редкая и, наверняка, уже снята с производства. Но если она вам все-таки попадется на глаза - берите, не раздумывая. |

Финская прогрессив пауэр металическая группа Kenziner была организована в 1997 году и выпустила за всё это время всего лишь два полноформатных альбома. Это был дебютный диск «Timescape» в 1998 году и рассматриваемое творение «The Prophecies». Сейчас банда находится в распущенном состоянии, а вот её бывшие члены ведут вполне активную деятельность в других, достаточно уважаемых, коллективах. Должен упомянуть сначала о вокалисте Кензинера, которым является экс-вокалист греческих пауэрщиков Firewind Стефан Фредрик, выпустивший с ними два хороших альбома. Для тех кто никогда не слышал его голоса, замечу что напоминает он смесь из Криса Больтендаля (Grave Digger) и Ральфа Каспарька (Running Wild). Собственно, то как Стефан пел в Firewind, имеет такое же высокое качество и здесь. Другие музыканты, тоже не самые последние личности на металической сцене, а это Ярно Кескинен (Let Me Dream, Virtuocity), и сессионные клавишник Микко Харкин (Sonata Arctica, Kotipelto), и ударник Брайан Харрис (Firewind, Zanister, Seven Seraphim). Исполняет группа неоклассический пауэр метал, с небольшим количеством прогрессивных элементов. Однако это всё касалось только стиля исполнения, то есть – таких же заоблачных ритмов, безбожных нагромождений неоклассических клавиш (именно неоклассических – не путайте с финскими высоко качественными клавишными пассажами наподобие Nightwish или Sonata Arctica), а вот мелодически музыкальный материал Кензинера практически идентичный материалу Firewind, чему есть обыкновенное логическое объяснение – и там и там за вокальные мелодии отвечал Стефан Фредрик! А посему мелодически диск такой же как и все работы Firewind - цепляющий, хитовый, мрачный, агрессивный и классный! И тут будет логичным заявить что альбом «The Prophecies» сможет элементарно заполучить внимание как поклонников строгого неоклассического пауэра, так и более простой и не замороченной его версии – хэви пауэр метала а-ля тот же Firewind. Супер! |
