'A Persuasive Reason' was brought to existence as a heart-felt desire by bassist/writer/producer TJ Jones, to create a project mixing the elements of progressive, gothic, and symphonic metal. TJ had recently completed construction of his studio when after dabbling in a few misc project, and felt it was time to spearhead his own vision.
After reading an article about Arjen Lucassen, and how he created 'Stream of Passion' by working with Marcela Bovio long distance across 2 continents, TJ decided to take a 'no boundaries' approach to finding talented musicians to work with, so a search across the internet began.
In the late summer of 2011, TJ met Jessica Hicks while out to dinner. She was singing opera at a popular Italian restaurant in Bonita Springs, Florida. The two conversed, exchanged contact info and the following week Jessica stopped by to try some vocal tests and review some of his current compilations. They quickly realized that writing together, they had something special.
The search for a second guitarist started in mid 2011 began. TJ determined that a 7 string guitarist would be necessary and some unique qualities would be helpful. After sending out emails to various prospects, Alejandra Mesliuk from Buenos Aries, Argentina responded and they began a long distance collaboration. Along with being an accomplished player, Alejandra brought with her a unique 2 handed tapping style similar to an approach you would find on a touch board instrument like a Chapman Stick.
Currently, the band is working on its first debut release. Already they have received great support and popularity from both the American and South American markets with some early track releases and teasers.
